Hello! You're about to read "Fuduroo", my very first CYOA adventure!
I've written this short story in 2023 for an italian writing contest, "I corti di Librogame's Land". The challenge was to write a short story that didn't use any ALEA (random choices/ dices). The given theme was "travel". The writing is pretty rough and the original story was written in italian, but the public can finally enjoy a full english translation! I used Magebook to write and manage the gamebook writing workflow. Def reccomended! I was able to write everywhere since it's a web based app and all the data get stored in the URL!!! WOW!
About the plot
You are a rider, your main job is to deliver food pedaling as fast as you can in the street of an always busy city. You'll find yourself racing againts time in a very "wacky race" style. Please, be mindful that I never worked as rider, if you are or has been in the food delivery business, please write me anything you wish to tell me at overcesium@gmail.com! Even thought the story is lighthearted, I condemn the terrible working conditions of the riders and i'm strongly againts any form of gig economy. No one should risk their life for a couple of bucks, expecially if your work consists in delivering food to lazy rich people. This is my very first attempt at html, so it's probably going to feel very old school, hooray!
